Client is a home products manufacturing company who is located in the Midwest.
This Home Products Manufacturer uses PeopleSoft’s Human Capital Management software and was having difficulty supporting its PeopleSoft HCM application and related infrastructure. In addition, the Client wanted to implement new functionality while reducing costs during a downturn in construction industry. After accessing its internal resources the Client determined that it would require one to two additional full-time developers to implement the new initiatives.
Dimension Systems had previously been engaged to apply PeopleSoft delivered tax updates for the Client. DSI was then engaged to upgrade the PeopleSoft application to the newest release, which DSI completed on time and within budget and to assist with the implementation of the new functionality. The Client then engaged DSI to provide PeopleSoft application, database and infrastructure support.
Using DSI’s flexible support model, the Client was able to implement the new functionality on time and at a fraction of the cost of a traditional consultant. Also, the Client is able to obtain the support coverage that it needs using just one-third to one-half of a person of support, eliminating two developers and one DBA, and providing the Client of a savings in excess of sixty percent of expected internal costs.
