Microsoft SQL Server Integration

Microsoft Integration Services is a platform for building enterprise-level data integration and data transformations solutions. Integration Services is used to solve complex business problems by copying or downloading files, sending e-mail messages in response to events, updating data warehouses, cleaning and mining data, and managing SQL Server objects and data. Microsoft Integration Services can work alone or in concert with other packages to address complex business needs.

Integration Services can extract and transform data from a wide variety of sources such as XML data files, flat files, and relational data sources, and then load the data into one or more destinations.

DSI can assist with the usage of SSIS tools for constructing packages, and for running and managing packages. We work with your end users to create solutions or we can program the extensive Integration Services object model to create packages programmatically and code custom tasks and other package objects in order to satisfy your needs.

Newer versions of Integration Services have an enhanced component which we can help leverage and improve the user experience and ameliorate performance problems in your current packages. DSI will work with your team to identify these new improvements. We will study your older SQL Server 2005 packages and help upgrade them to SSIS in SQL Server 2008 without loss of any functionality. Since we have much experience with Integration Services, we can quickly identify elements that need additional work and create a solution for components that did not migrate using the automatic upgrade process.

DSI will develop a recommendation for all components (installation, physical architecture etc),if SSIS is used as a dedicated ETL (extraction, transformation and load) service to move around corporate data.

SqlServer Reporting Service

SQL Server Reporting Services provides a full range of ready-to-use tools and services to help you create, deploy, and manage reports for your organization, as well as programming features that enable you to extend and customize your reporting functionality.

Reporting Services is a server-based reporting platform that provides comprehensive reporting functionality for a variety of data sources. DSI has experience in Installing and configuring Reporting Services starting from the earliest version SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services.

DSI will work for you to create, manage, and deliver reports and APIs that enable developers to integrate or extend data and report processing in custom applications. We can work with your end users to make required changes to reports, as needed, based on the functional needs.

Since we understand the architecture of the reporting service, in 2008 R2, we can configure a report server to run within a deployment of a SharePoint product and use the collaboration and centralized document management features of SharePoint for reports.

The SharePoint integration requires installing the appropriate version of the Reporting services add-in on your SharePoint Web Front Ends.
