  2. Prepare. Review the disk, memory and network. Order necessary hardware and software.  Ensure all source and target software and platforms are compatable.
  3. Test. Map a plan for testing. work through multiple test iterations until a test is successful without interruption. Review with Client.
  4. Migrate. Schedule a time for the migration that is convenient for the Client and results in the least amount of downtime.  Execute the plan created during the testing phase, above.
  5. Verify. Conduct a go-live review with the Client to verify the sucessful migration of the database.
